Just realised Bertie, you must have had your op exactly a year after I had mine (17th May 2010)! You sound like you are recovering quicker than me though, well done, but take it easy!

going to go on Hrt next week (for 10 years), have an assessment with GP on fri, but it will be oestrogen based.

 

and just for reasurrance - since i have been home, overall the pain has been nothing like a period pain that i used to suffer every month. the tummy is sore when starting off moving (like i have done a 1000 sit ups)...... but i am taking it very easy, and its getting easier each day .

They left my ovaries... for what they are worth but I find Femarelle brilliant especially as conventional HRT didn't agree with me.

It's odd although I was in pain/discomfort from the op, immediately after the op the constant period pain went so overall I felt much better It took me another few of months to get out of the habit of buying paracetamol every shop. I think I now have a lifetimes supply

 

Keep resting though - it makes a difference further down the line and you have lots of time to get on and do all the things you couldn't before the op.

Bertie, I'm not sure how I missed this thread before but I am glad to read your feeling better and I hope it's onwards and upwards from now on for you and your soon feeling back to 100%
