Jools
This is really about chickens, but the stars of the show are the lambs A couple of weeks ago I watched as there was a stand off between a ewe and one of my Rhodes in the field. It ended when the Rhode gave the sheepie a sharp peck on the nose. Well sheep-kind have had their revenge! We watched the incredibly mischievious lambs tormenting George and his Gals on Friday and thought it was a one off. Well obviously not!! This is what happened this afternoon when I chucked them their corn .... the lambs came to town!! Click picture to view They’re Herdwicks and Swaledales with a cross or two in there too. Probably the cutest lambs on the planet!! While I was filming their escapades, the two naughtiest black ones crept up behind me and tried to climb on my back. I think I’m in love!! Chucky Mama
I love lambs when they get to that thuggish stage. I can just see the chickens in a huddle plotting their revenge though

Bramble
Oh sweet!!! Wow, is that where you live?! You lucky thing!!!
Jools
It's my neighbour's field, he's just kind enough to let me keep a few chooks down there (and let hubby store wood and various "toys" that don't fit in the garden!). I've kept George & Gals in their run this morning but they're looking pretty miffed. I think they'd rather run the lamb gauntlet!
The Dogmother
Lovely lambs, remind me of lurcher pups!
Jools
The black ones are not much bigger than my Patterdale - I keep seeing them out of the corner of my eye and panicking that he's got into the field and is chasing sheep!!! I don't think my neighbour would be quite so kind if that ever happened.
