stupidly upset today

Recommended Posts

No, not stupidly upset, rightfully so upset. Ungrateful so and so's  I can just imagine what they'd say if it were young kids refusing their lunch that someone else had lovingly prepared for them.

Maybe, if you don't end up leaving (like I would) ask them what they expect for their lunch? Then do what you can for the amount of money you get in, and if they are hungry at the end, it's their own fault.

Cooperman - like the chillies

so they pay £2 and expect what exactly? A four course meal with wine? How bloomin rude of them, what is it with some old people seem to think that once they get to a certain age they don't have to use any manners at all? Can you imagine if you spoke to them like that?

I don't care who they are or what their problem is, there is no excuse for bad manners. None. Not at all.

I've been living off Sainsburys basic tomato soup - 17p a can and that's perfectly acceptable, I'm sure a homemade veg soup is INFINITELY better than that.

Ooooooh, that's made me really cross! I always tell my kids when we're at someone elses, you try what's offered and if you really really don't like it you politely decline, but YOU STILL SAY THANK-YOU!

I really would find somewhere else that is worthy of your time and effort, maybe that's why there was a vacancy that you filled, or maybe they don't want "proper" food, just chips every time. Nasty bunch, you're better off without them luvvy

Thanks again everyone. There is one old boy at the club who is ex Navy & had a stroke, he gets cross that he is so slow and clumsy & for him alone I've decided to carry on. I have decided also that I can't dump on the lovely lady who runs it, she is Sikh & has shrugged off all sorts of nasty racial comments from some of them. I will try to follow her example. Your support was brilliant & just what I needed.

They sound a grotty lot - years ago my FIL RIP used to work in restaurants in Soho - if someone gave them a hard time the food would be taken back into the kitchen moved round and someone might spit on it (FIL never did this he was rather taken aback by this being an immigrant to our shores) - not suggesting you would do this but boy would I be tempted :shameonu: Well done for rising above it and you and your colleague deserve a medal
