squiffs
I'm utterly disappointed with it - far too americanised, the soundtrack sounds like it's come from an 80s synth back catalogue and it's making me cringe. and they're playing far too much up on the american/british divide - like we're idiots. I want old torchwood back
Janepie33
Yesterday's episode didn't really tell us much and I agree And what's with the bedroom scenes - don't seem to have anything to do with the story. !!
Chook n Boo Mum
I'm in the "not impressed so far" camp......I was an avid watcher of the previous Torchwoods, but am really not bothered with this series.....amongst other things; bedroom scenes? why?........and where is Gwen's lovely Welsh accent? She seemed very wooden last night Sha x
Tutti Frutti
Sorry Bellkatz. I can't read your tiny tiny writing. Can you make it a bit bigger please. I think my eyes are too old!!! highlight it, copy it then paste it somewhere else where you can write text - you'll see it full size - only, it contains a spoiler, which is why she's made it tiny - so it doesn't ruin it for those of us who haven't watched it yet Easier to just click the "Quote" button, top left of the post and you'll see the post in normal text. Or press CTRL and the "equal" key to zoom in... then CTRL and minus to zoom back out again (think it works on most PC platforms, not sure about Mac) Agree with the thumbs down on the bedroom scenes
Cinnamon
Watching this weeks now and still loving it. I love the pace if it,but then I am a big fan of American stuff anyhow. I also love that they have a great supporting cast ( him from ER, the chubby bloke from Jurassic Park, the President from Independence Day,the gorgeous redhead from Six Feet Under),as well as the pairing of Jack and Gwen It's all good
chickencam
Still not sure myself, i had no idea what they were wittering about at one point

snowberry
No likey! I feel that it's just being strung out; each episode could be condensed down to 15 minutes & we wouldn't have lost the plot & I have to turn the volume up, it's so American mumble mumble... Janepie33
Any idea who 'THEY' are??
squiffs
why have they used the same 'video message from gwen' format that they used in the final episode of children of earth???
Sam
I really like it I THINK I may have watched a bit of the last series, I can't remember if it was torchwood or not. But I remember someone sacrificing someones child against the mothers will? Could have been dr who? Which I really don't like. I would start a new paragraph but my return key has stopped working ... I really like this new series, but then again I like american stuff, and I love the actors and I like the storyline. So far fetched but it's great
chickencam
It's ok, I am becomeing very drawn towards Rex, nice physique and dark and brooding, shame about the occasional ketchup stain on those lovely white shirts
whoopsie
Beginning to wonder if it's the 456 back for another round - Jack 'gave' 'Them' something 'years ago' and there were references to the 456 in the first episode. Hmm.....

Hmm..... That would fit with the trail for the next episode about 'thinking they knew what they were doing'' but then there being nothing they could do. squiffs
Hmmmmm. We were thinking the 456 too. weren't their flashes of bunks and bunks of people on stretchers in a dark room?
squiffs
I also read that there was a more graphic sex scene in that episode with the barman - but the BBC cut it!
snowberry
Ok, just getting this ready for later. Or has everyone given up watching it? It's been very baffling this series hasn't it? Put it like this, I won't be rushing out to get the dvd...
gongladosh
Still reckon it's a 3 episode series stretched way too thin... No amount of padding or spurious/irrelevant sex scenes can save this one. Shame really as the previous series was excellent.
Sam Palmer
I rather like it now, though I prefer the previous series. OH never watched the other series, but he likes this one.
chuckmum6
Well I am loving it, I do agree that the third episode wasn't too good, but I pack the boys offend watch this all to myself as it is OH's night out (and mine in)!
snowberry
I found that episodes 3-7 were mere waffle (& the mumble mumble american that I can't understand!); but I loved the twists at the ending tonight..!
Sam
Thought it was funny when Rex .. came back to life ..!? and they were all like "What?!" Looking forward to Spooks
