The Dogmother
I give the cube a good fettling every week, either a 'bucket wash' or a blast with the jet washer. Once a year, in the summer, I take it all apart, jetwash it, rinse with an anti-mite product (I use Total Mite Kill Concentrate), powder it and out it all back together again. With such a lovely day I have made a start on it and it's all drying in the sun prior to going back together - the UV light is a good steriliser and kills mites too. It's a good time to check that everything fits properly and is working. I feel so virtuous
Egluntyne
I did mine over the last two days. Dug out the run too.

Patricia W
The run is on my list for this weekend. Followed by the cube strip down- must be something in the air, all this " spring cleaning"!
squiffs
I take my eglu apart to wash it every week - is it too much work to do that with a cube? Soon I'll be doing this with 2 eglus - do I need to or am I being overly cautious with the cleaning routine, especially with the increased workload imminent... Chicken shack
I gave mine a good wash yesterday but didn't take it apart as I am not sure how to. I will need to learn as I will need to dismantle it soon for the big move. We have decided to move everything out one day putting the on the lorry last, put the girls in the now empty shed for the night and the cats in an empty bedroom and we will spleep on the floor for the night. The next morning the girls can have the run of the garden for a while then we can pack them in boxes and the cats in their cages and head for the new house. Just wish we would exchange soon. Olly
I wash the Eglu out but don't usually take it apart. The run floor badly needs digging over, however I've got two new girls penned off in an Eglu run inside the WIR, so it will have to wait until they are integrated with the big girls. I usually stick it in a spare plastic dustbin, leave it for six months or so and it makes fabulous filling for raised beds!

beach chick
I never take mine apart... I take off all the removable bits, obviously, which in my case includes the roof, but I dont think I would ever completely dismantle it.
