Cheap Yaktrax

Recommended Posts

I slipped on a piece of ice a few years ago & have been phobic about walking in snow ever since (nothing broken but had concussion & still suffer with my neck & back because of it); I nearly lost my job as I refused to go into work because of it last year! These will be a godsend, thank you!

I have 2 huge hills and a route that no buses travel along to get to work (if the trains on the south coast line aren't brought to a standstill) so I'll be getting some of these to go with my new walking boots I bought in the sale yesterday (£23!) but the ones they have in my size are the same price as buying them direct from the yaktrax site :( so I'll just go with whichever one is cheapest on shipping.

I'm just the same - nearly 9 years now since I badly dislocated my knee joint after slipping on ice........Yaktrax are brilliant on packed snow but I still won't go out when it is ice without snow.

Thanks for the link - I bought some for my Dad last year and now my stepfather has moved back to the Midlands from right on the Anglesey coast I'll get some for him as well, he'll have forgotten what snow is!!

I hope to get some of these in preparation for winter but my shoe size falls between XS and S. Would I be better to go smaller or larger? Just wondering as I have not bought anything similar before :?

They look to be rubbery stretchy things, so I would go with XS if it is still within the XS range stated.

I am a size 2.5 and have size 3 muck boots. I found the small ones to be fine.

I can be anything from 3.5(sandals) to 5 (in trainers) but that sounds like the small ones will be ok. Thanks. I was a bit worried if I got them too big they would ping off  injuring those in the vicinity!
