Look What I Bought Yesterday!

I live on the south coast, it's frequently extremely windy - worthing is hugely popular with kite surfers - some of them even try and jump over worthing pier with a decent gust and a good wave height. Our weather is terribly capricious. Torrential rain, high winds, the sea froze a couple of times over last winter, snow, everything. I'm pretty sure my silkies will be okay. They brace themselves against the winds, and they take shelter when it rains.

Silkies dont do well in the wet and windy weather, they are often too scatty to take cover and take ages to dry once wet which leaves them prone to chills. apart from that they are pretty robust little things

Apart from anything a tatty looking silkie (or any breed with special feathers or fluffy feet) is a really sad sight and although they may cope with it they dont exactly thrive

If you have a sheltered run and keep it clean you would be ok though :D

These literally wont touch the ground here, they have a big hutch inside a stable which they will live in permenantly
