Weird dreams

Recommended Posts

I've been having a series of weird dreams, I don't know what's disturbed my brain but I thought I'd bore you with a couple that struck me as particularly odd. Last night I dreamt I was running a marathon type race with lots of women. It was set in a Dickensian type town with amazing detail. We were wearing Victorian clothes, hats, ribbons, tippets and everything. We were running in a womanly style, hanging on to skirts, hats etc.

In a previous dream I was cuddling one of my chickens in the WIR and all three turned into toddlers. Little boys and I had an in depth conversation with OH about whether we should let them move into the house now to get some proper interaction with the rest of the family. I was glad to wake up from that one!

Found this about the running:-

"To dream of running in company with others, is a sign that you will participate in some festivity, and you will find that your affairs are growing towards fortune."

My own interpretation is that you are sick of watching reruns of BBC costume dramas and are trying to avoid them at all costs

My advice would be avoid the cheese and watching Gold/Dave just before bed time

I've had two weird ones recently :? .

In one, my OH had taken me and YS to see a motivational speaker (so unlikely it's ridiculous  ). Whilst there my mum phoned me and said she was cutting me out of her will.

Last night, I dreamt that I was in my mum's house (with a lot of random people) and a man phoned from Singapore to tell me my mum had died  .

I wonder if the 2 dreams were related in my subconscious  .

I have a frequent weird dream that thankfully I haven't had for a while.

In it there's someone (or sometimes a pet but usually a person) that is in a room where they can't get out to sort food and water and I'm worried that I might forget about them. Sometimes I realise I've forgotten where they are.

One night I got to the bottom of the stairs still asleep and I'd persuaded my husband he had to come with me to take food and water to the person in the basement. I was very confused at the bottom of the stairs as I couldn't find a basement  (we don't have one) that was when I woke up. My husband was  Once in the dream the person was stranded on the roof and I had to look after them and make sure no one fell off the roof but it's most often a basement.

I had some kind of scary nightmare when I was in the throes of my nasty divorce. I woke up to realise that I'd been 'sleepwalking' by trying to hide behind the big victorian dresser that is unmovable (when I'm awake!) I woke up just in time to see the t.v. slide off & explode.

Scary times :(

I had a right weird one recently:

I was with other people drilling through the middle of the earth from the North Pole to Brazil (!) Down this hole we were sending lots of pineapples through to the other end.

Discuss

erm...

i would be careful telling people about your dreams...just incase they send a van of people all wearing white coats and they have a nice new style jacket for you to try :lol:

I used to have a recurring dream. Me & my family were all on a ship like The Titanic. It had just docked in the port, I'd got off & was on the harbour side...my family are still on board & the ship tips sideways! Tragic!

I used to hate this. Haven't had it for a very long time. Apart from that another dream I used to have a lot was of a Tsunami whilst I was swimming in the sea in Thailand.
