Calamity Jane
Have just opened up a case against the girl who 'bought' my boots. grrrr. I asked her nicely to pay up and she never even got back to me, just the original message to say they were the wrong size (!) and that it was not worth her buying them... der ... why bid ? I am not too worried though as I know they will sell eventually, and probably for an even better price.
Cinnamon
It happened to me once when someone didn't pay - I relisted & it sold for almost double. Don't forget to add this idiot to your banned bidders list,so they can never darken your ebay doorstep again

Griffin
I don't sell things very often on there but when I do I seem to attract all the idiots I sold a skirt on there, posted it first class recorded to the registered address then a few days later started getting snotty emails asking where it had got to. She'd not bothered updating her details with her new address The skirt eventually made it's way back to me and I posted it again to her new address. She then had the cheek to leave neutral feedback whinging about the delay in it arriving I saw red, gave her negative feedback with an explaination of why which she then said was petty! Lewis
I'm even more addicted to ebay now Don't have internet in our house yet so have been using the Mobile App ... spent £250 I don't really have to spend! Got Sherlock (ma rabbit) a new 2 storey indoor hutch and a little outdoor one, and the doves a cage and a few textbooks so its not all rubbish I used to sell quite a bit but had to package it first so I wasn't late posting it! Want to sell a few old books that were left in my room from last year but might go + ask the bookshop in town first + avoid the hassle
rachel19
We put our car on ebay and some idiot bidded high to win it but with no intention of actually buying it. He had a feedback score of 2 100% positive but we didn't check what it actually said. He won and we didn't hear anything so then checked the feedback to find he had actually done the same thing to someone else a few weeks ago with a car and their feedback (as only positive allowed ) just said do not trust, delete bid immediately he has no intention of buying. We opened a case and complained to ebay as he had now done this twice but they wouldn't do anything about it. We did get our listing fee refunded but he has since done it to someone else, again with a car so there really is no comeback for sellers. We will never sell anything of value on ebay again as its just not worth the bother as there seem to be more and more timewasters .
WitchHazel
I sell a lot on Ebay and have ha d a few annoying buyers over the years - but only a few compared to the number of items I sell. I had one this week for a collection only item. I stated my location (motorway and junction) in the listing, and I stated in red letters that could be seen from the other side of the room, that the item was too bulky to box and ship so it was collection only. I know they could be seen from the other side of the room because I tested it on my husband). I emailed her as soon as the auction ended to say that we could be in any time, just let us know, and I would be happy for cash on collection of Paypal in advance. I didn't hear from her. I knew immediately where it was going. After a second email from me, she emailed back to say that she hadn't realised we were so far away, any chance I could send it. She was a fnewbie, had good feedback, and because she 'fessed up straight away without faffing me about (and having one non paying winner a couple of weeks ago who messed me about a lot), I straight away cancelled the contract. She was very relieved. For something that I know will sell, especially where the buyer has been up front, it's just not worth the delay of going through a dispute. That way I got the item relisted straight away. I did open a dispute against the previous buyer, and he ended up with a strike against him. I now have Ebay set to automatically open a dispute if payment isn't received in 4 days (which is the minimum Ebay allows).
Ain't Nobody Here
The guy who paid me nearly 3 weeks after the auction must have had his item by now but have I had any emails saying it's arrived/thanks/it's rubbish I hate it? Not a thing . I feel like leaving "honest" feedback but he has his feedback set to private. What's with that ?
WitchHazel
I feel like leaving "honest" feedback but he has his feedback set to private. What's with that ? It means he's had some feedback that he is disputing. Ebay make the feedback private until the matter is resolved one way or the other. Ain't Nobody Here
Is that what it is ? I just thought you could choose that option (but did wonder why you'd be allowed to). I'll watch out for that in future . He only has 7 feedback (all positive) so I thought he was just an uninformed beginner .
WitchHazel
Don't judge too harshly, and don't assume he is at fault. He may have been left unfair feedback, or malicious feedback.
Ain't Nobody Here
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he had had negative feedback. Not a single message from start to finish and 3 weeks to pay for an item won't endear you to your seller . I'm happy to let it go though.
