Flaming June and sodden July

Recommended Posts

Just bumping the weather thread up again!

It is overcast and looks like rain here today, despite what has been promised by the forecasters  It is a cold 12 degrees outside, and we have had 17mm of rain in the past 24 hours

I don't know why I optimistically painted my toenails yesterday, I can't wear sandals yet again

It is cold, wet, grey and miserable here today :(

We have put on the central heating 3 times in the evening this week :( Although some days were overcast but very muggy with a cold wind :?

The cold, wet, grey and miserable weather is forecast up here for the next ten days :(

It was really lovely here yesterday

Really warm and sunny

It was the childrens' school Fun Day, so had a lovely time there

It is always sunny and warm form Fun Day. Now sports day, well suffice to say it has been cancelled for this year :(

Last night we were invited to a 40th birthday party. It was in Shrewsbury and was on a River Boat along the Severn

It was absolutely lovely and stayed dry and sunny til late. There was a show in the park and we saw Beverley Knight and Lemar playing from the boat. A really lovely night

I've just put the fire on *shivers*

I'm thinking about it...but we have had to put the lights on and it is only 4.30pm.

I'm beginning to feel quite fed up. I just want to spend time in the garden.

And the poor hens will develop trench foot if this goes on much longer. :(

When the weatherman said that it would be raining in the London area on Monday morning, I must confess I found myself thinking "thank God it is not going to be here".

Not that I'm pleased to hear that Londoners will have rotten weather, you understand.

2 lovely days here again although on the radio this afternoon someone was complaining about the weather in London. Yesterday I got sunburned at the villabe show!

It HAS to stop tomorrow though as we have a whole day event in school and it finishes on the field for the last hour.

BUT expect ridiculously hot weather on Wedsnesday without a spec of rain or cloud. Its Sports day and most of us teachers HATE being out on the field all day.

:? Hmm negatively autumnal here in Cheshire - just had roast dinner and a crumble ( yup CRUMBLE ) ready for a bit later  . Should be having lamb on BBQ and sangria, followed by summer fruits and ice-cream  .

I am honestly so NOT ready to bring out the winter duvets yet ( the boys are still in long sleeved pjs, only as their summer quilts are on the beds).

:roll::roll: where oh where for art thou' sunshine :?::!:

Hot and muggy all day!!

My fridge has packed up too :twisted::twisted::twisted:

The freezer is still working so the cool box has come in handy!!

It is really warm at night here but too warm and sticky. Had one thunder pump earlier dashed out to get the four loads of washing in and put it back out 30 mins later. fel quite pleased that I managed to get it in time for once but can it be too humid for washing to dry :?::?:?:?
