MissMoo
My 2 little chicks are now bigger and 19 weeks old, but I am still none the wiser on there sexes. Any help would be much appreciated as to what they might be. Don't want to upset the neighbours with any crowing If they are males will need to find homes for them before they do start Thanks http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g353/Donna_Johns/DSC02678.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g353/Donna_Johns/DSC02673.jpg Edited December 10, 2011 by Guest
Redwing
the speckled one is female, males in any speckled breed will be much lighter I'm not sure about the other one, the head looks quite male but there arent enough body features for me to be definite
chicken bark
I think they both look female.
MissMoo
Thanks, will try and get a better pic of the white one. I thought it was possibly male as its quite aggressive towards the other one. But glad the other one is female as we've grown quite attached to that one, it has a great personality
daxigirl
They look like girlies to me.
fluffy chick
The speckled looks more girly but not sure about the white one. Good luck in finding a home should she end up being a he.
surfer_chicken
I think they're both girls
chuckmum6
My Light Sussex are/were a girl and a boy (he went in the freezer on Monday - poor boy), your looks like a girl! If she is a bit aggressive I would embark on an intensive taming programme, get her to eat out of your hand and hold her for a bit.
sparkysmum
To my very inexpert eye, light sussex looks like a girl. Rounded hackle feathers & lack of saddle feathers. Cuckoo looks girly too but can't really be sure. Both lovely
Egluntyne
I'd say both girls. The ends of the hackle feathers on the light sussex are nicely rounded. An encouraging sign.
Daphne
I'd say girls too - my sussex looked a lot more boyish at that age.
