Bramble
This is driving me NUTS!!! I was in Stratford on Avon yesterday and saw an Actor (not an unusual occurrence!) but I can't think who he is or what he's been in ... not mega famous (I don't think) but he's been on TV (I'd say either as a teacher or a boss/senior police officer/something where he'd wear a suit) ... I'd say he'd be late 50s, medium height, balding, medium build ... I was with a couple of people who didn't recognise him, but I'm sure he's an actor. Any suggestions anyone, I'm not giving you much to go on, but does anyone have any ideas, PLEASE!!!!!!???????
Mum
I'd suggest looking at what is on in the theatres around the area and checking the cast lists

Cinnamon
Wasn't THIS CHAP, was it? He is seeming to crop up in everything at the moment, & I think he recently played a policeman type.

Cinnamon
I once did it the other way round. Bounded up to a guy I knew (well,I recognised him,so I must know him, right?) Asked him how he & his family were, chatted away. it wasn't until I got home that I realised it was Kenny Lynch
Lesley
David Troughton? - he lives locally.......as do Richard Griffiths and David Bradley but they don't fit the criteria....
Bramble
Thank you Lesley, you are a marvel! It is indeed David Troughton The thing I remember him for most recently was Outnumbered, when he did indeed play a teacher!!! Phew!!! I stood behind Richard Griffiths in the queue at the petrol station at Tesco in Stratford once, but that was many years ago, long before Uncle Vernon (boo, hiss!!!) Thank you again, Lesley
Lesley
That's good - I'd have wondered for ages if it hadn't been him! He used to come into the computer shop where I used to do the accounts and is always very pleasant and chatty - and so is Dion Dublin. Carl always comes across Richard Griffiths in bookshops as they are both interested in the History section......Carl has to go the long way round to get to look at the next section Patrick Stewart and David Tennant are around a lot at the moment as well. Bramble
DT was buying Christmas lights in the garden centre yesterday! If I'd felt a bit braver I would have asked him who he was and the big question is, if I saw Uncle Vernon, I mean Richard Griffiths again, or the divine Patrick Stewart, would I be brave enough to speak to them ... I suspect not ... Thank you though, Lesley, I can't tell you what a relief it is to put a name to the face

Bantambabe
My friend had a chap come up to her in Times Square NYC and ask her something - she said "You look just like Ken Stott" and he marvelled at how he'd managed to pick the only British tourist (probably not!) to ask and therefore someone who recognised him! chick wiggle
Im glad you got him named Bramble, i know how annoying a name thats on the tip of your tongue can be. Last week, a guy came into work who looked just like a carry on film character, we could not think of his name at all, we were wracking our brains until i managed to google carry on film characters, and it was............Alf Ippititimus!!!!! Yep, there is a Stobart driver out there that is the spitting image!
