Leicester_H Posted December 25, 2011 Share Posted December 25, 2011 My 'elderly' (5 YO) original omlet gingernut ranger was still occasionally laying eggs but is quite thin, so we switched her from layers pellets to growers to give her more protein and discourage her from laying - if possible (less stress & strain). She still laid the occasional egg and last laid an egg in October. Then she moulted. Today, Christmas Day, she surprised us all by presenting us with a small but perfect egg!
