I posted a tread about how my OH constructed the wooden bases on wheels for my eglus and runs.

I've searched my posts and can't find it.

It linked to some photos in Photobucket - they are in a 2008 folder - so thread was probably created then

Are messages removed after a while ??

No, they aren't usually removed but we've had a few upgrades of forum software since then. The posts ought to be there though, which search words are you using and which forum section was it in?

It was specifically about constucting the base on wheels so it could be moved around the patio.

I *think* I started a new thread in response to answering various other peoples questions on a number of different threads.

I went to 'View your posts' and searched for wood, wheels, castors,patio but it didn't appear on any of the searches.

It's possible that it might have been deleted, but it's not usually routine that posts are deleted. Have you scrolled back through your posts (in your profile) going by date?

Hazel, threads are only deleted if they are no longer valid e.g. free to a good home, eglus for sale etc.

I went to 'View your(ie MY) posts' and searched for wood, wheels, castors,patio (one word at a time - so 4 searches) but it didn't appear on any of the searches.

I don't understand why this didn't work as 'wheels' IS in the title - I just tried this again (searching for wheel) and got

 

'No suitable matches were found.'

 

(I have at least TWO threads with wheels in the title - this one and the one I was originally looking for)

How odd. I used 'advanced search' and typed 'Wheels' into the keyword box and 'Hazel' into the 'author' box and this selection of postsappeared in a nanosecond.

I think Egluntyne uses Chrome like me. I got loads of answers when I searched.

You are clicking on "advanced search" beside the search button? I tried it too, just to see if I got the same results as Egluntyne and I did . (I'm using Opera!)

Yes - advanced search - wheel, hazel as author, select all forums

Very odd, I did it and got the same as you. Tried again and loads came up! Looks like you have to give it a few goes .
