When Ruby was too young to go down outside I used to carry her into town in a backpack which I wore on my front, this got her used to the noises and people. Trying to get a long legged lurcher pup into that back pack was a bit of a challenge - a bit like getting an octopus in a string bag!

 

Next door have just got a puppy - never had dogs before, nor expressed a desire fro one, they also have 3 small children... were knocking on my door last night asking to borrow the puppy crate so I guess it was an impulsive purchase

I remember carrying George around outside to get him used to the sights and sounds too. Wether he walked or not, it still would have done him good

I told my daughter I was goin to get one! She was horrified!!!!

He's still not keen on the harness and lead! I put it on him indoors and try and let him forget it! More work will be done on the weekend! If not - it's more carries for him just to get him out so he can sniff things!

 

I can't imagine not having him now!
