Hemcore/aubiose alternatives??

AlisonH · February 17, 2012

My local stockists have stopped doing Hemcore and Aubiose.

Can anyone tell me an alternative product to use in the base/nest of the Eglu Go.

Thanks

I tried a sample of Aubiose but could not get it at the local shop. I was given Rapport instead which seems similar.

Rapport is OK, followed by Snowflake (in that order)

Easibed is good & have heard easychick is too although I haven't tried it

I can't get Hemcore or Aubiose any more either

I've tried easibed, but am now using 'Bliss'. It's the most 'aubiosey' stuff I've come across!

Will give Rapport or Snowflake a go if possible, although nothing seems to get down as far as Cornwall.

I've been told that it's to do with the haulage.

Rapasorb is another possibility (similar to Rapport, I believe, they are both chopped rape straw!)

Bliss comes in eucalyptus or citronella flavours. Never had any flies in the coop in the summer with the citronella smell.

another vote for bliss

Thanks for your contributions, hubbie went to different supplier today and came home with easichick so I'll see how it goes!

Curious to know, Alison,. Could you let us know how you found it. Thanks. Alli x

Seems fine, very similar to the others - hens seem happy, although seemed not to be available in such big bags and was more expensive.
