Eggasperated
I'm really glad I went to the bother of teaching my chocolate lab, Raisin, to retrieve gloves and hats as he has proved ace at locating the cat's fluffy mouse, which for some inexplicable reason she takes out the cat flap into the garden. Today I sent him off to find a gardening glove I had dropped, which he promptly brought back; in a 1.75 acre garden that's not easy so I am really pleased with him. jasperaliceuk
One of the best things you can teach a dog is a retrieve! Tidying up, retrieving dropped stuff, bringing back the ball! Sue
Lavenders_Blue
I have a dog who gladly brings back a ball when I throw it for her. However, when the plastic bag I keep said ball in (to stop my packet getting wet and yukky) went floating off across the field by itself the other day, my faithful hound stood and watched me as I ran chasing it across the field. She clearly thought that was a particularly stupid game that she wasn't prepared to take part in!
