Queens Jubilee concert

I don't rate Kylie or Cheryl much. I didn't watch it at all, but I will check out Madness.

I think Prince Charles has been man enough to learn from his sons and I think people see that. He cares for his country which is more than most politicians do these days. I think he'll be a fine king.

I had that discussion with my girls this morning. I don't think the Queen will ever abdicate, she'll reign until the day she dies and Prince Charles will become King because that's what he's waited for his entire life. I can't see him passing up that chance, however much William & Kate are loved. Unfortunately Prince Charles has never and will never be popular.

Completely agree with you Griffin.

We had a wounderfull time even though some of the acts are past their sell by dates. Or just not up to it. However I got to see my idols from my youth and was transported back in time. The apmosphere was incredible, electric :!: I was a teany bopper again. I am sure they all did their best on the day with the whole world watching, such a responsability. They did us proud. :D

Great that you had a good time CS, I have re watched the bits that I missed and Grace Jones, hats off :D All credit to her, a good performance and who else at that age would not only look that good but also keep a hula hoop up throughout  Cliff was dire and Cheryl was super cringe. She looked like a nervous school girl who had won a competition to sing with Gary Barlow. I wish she would stick to dancing, she is really good at that.

I agree with patsylabrador about Prince Charles. He hasn't always got it right by any stretch of the imagination, but he has genuinely tried to help people through the Prince's Trust and I think he really does care about this country. There is no way that the the succession can, or should, bypass him - and I am sure that William would not be prepared to become king at his father's expense.

Madness were great - the best act at the concert in my opinion. There were too many ancient performers who are clearly past their sell by date, and others who were just not up to it!

Yes Chucky Mama Grace Jones is amazing for 64, I know people half her age who are no where near as fit. I am not that fit and I am not there yet.:lol::lol: She is a little scary though.
