Cinnamon
I would love to know what they are like I have a vision of a big barn, with a few computers perched on hay bales, a smell of coffee & chickens EVERYWHERE! The girls are in nice gingham check frocks & the boys in Boxers All chewing on corn stalks. There is a pile of Eglus in the corner, & a nest of eggs on every desk. I know some of you have been there....please tell me they are like this (or post a picture?)
Mrs Frugal
I've got a picture somewhere. I'll look it out. Eglus everywhere? Yes - like a beautiful rainbow! Chickens everywhere? Well, there was an escapee plus a shed full of gingernuts all cute and looking babyish ready to go out to new owners soon! Big barn? Well a big warehouse full of Eglu parts! Haybales? No!! A nice, slightly cluttered office (I can't talk though!) full of computers and stuff - Ollie found a chicken stuffed toy which was rather cute hiding amongst the plants . Gingham dresses? No sign of Penny, Jan or Brenda when we were there so I can't say what standard Omlet ladies attire consists of. Boxers? NO!! I did see Simon of the Bottom but it was definitely covered with more than boxer shorts . How's that?? I'll try to find the photo to post tomorrow if I remember!! Mrs Frugal
It didn't smell of coffee today and it was tipping it down with rain! Good job James is handy with an umbrella or two!

Mel (& Paul)
Nope the girls dont wear gingham It doesnt smell of coffee but there is a bakery underneath and when we went it smelt of warm bread and spices. mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....!! It was very busy when I went, but I think that the boys were faking it so they didnt have to stand up and turn round - after all Clare had frightened the life out of them when she visited just before me. Too many eglus for my credit card's liking!!
The Dogmother
Sarah, they are in a modern farm outbuilding at the end of a row, with fields behind them. The road to the offices is rather bumpy, and the office is a bit chaotic, with bits and pieces everywhere. Mel has mentioned the bread smell. They are all very busy when I go in, There are usually 3 girls there answering the phones, and they are really lovely. The chickens outside are lovely too. Fleata
as i dont drive ill never get to go to the omlet office so if we can have some pics that would be great, i would love to see where my little girls came from.
The Dogmother
Perhaps one of the boys could post some pictures - they might have to have a tidy, though.
Mrs Frugal
Here you go - will this do? James and William in the Omlet office
Cinnamon
Where are all the Chickens????? I expected to see them perched on top of the moniters, scurrying around the floor etc It looks a lot tidier & neater than I imagined - obviously a womans touch there
Mrs Frugal
That was taken when LSH went down to collect something in May - it's a little different now. I think that the bit behind the lads is now shelving with books, files etc on. Boxes of T-shirts etc all on the floor behind them too. There's a flight of stairs leading up to the office which is kind of L-shaped and that bit is the long bit of the L - the three Gingham clad Omlet ladies have a desk each there now and the lads all work in the other part of the L surrounded by files, boxes etc. No chickens up there at all unless you count the fluffy toy Gingernut!! I remember seeing a chicken calendar too but no real ones!!
DucktorWho
I'm a bit worried about their shelving unit.....it looks a tad precarious!

Lesley
I have an original, British made, Dyson and I love it! Won't replce it with a Far East model though when it dies.

DucktorWho
Our Dyson gets moaned at a lot for being so awkward to use and breaking quite a bit. I think we'll go back to Hoover next time.
