Luvachicken
I bought a lovely little blue gentian flower on saturday. It is only small and I placed it by my pond so my dog wouldn't get to it. However, I think a woodpigeon did and knocked in to the pond I'm not sure how long it has been in the pond but long enough for the poor thing to be totally sodden. I got it out as quick as I could and put it on the path under the carport. What should I do next ? Should I change the soil, put it in the airing cupboard or what ? It was such a sweet litttle plant and now it looks quite sad
Luvachicken
Well, I'm hoping I've saved it by squeezing a lot of the water out and repotting it, and putting it in my conservatory. At least it is dry in there. Fingers crossed.
Couperwife
I would make sure that it's well drained, I'm surfeit will be fine, plants are used to sudden down pours in the wild aren't they so I'm sure it will be ok Cathy X
Luvachicken
Surprisngly it does seem to have survived so far. It's little flowers have re-opened today, well 2 out of 3 have, so I am pleased with that. Fingers crossed it keeps going.
