My Welsummer has been broody for two weeks now, and just when I think she's getting over it, she snaps back to broody mode. I've tried putting her in isolation for a couple of days and even the old dunking her bum in cold water trick but nothing is working. When she does come out to her run to eat, the others shoo her away. Will it resolve itself and when? :anxious:

My Pepperpot went broody last summer. I didn't have the heart to put her in isolation or dunk her, just made sure she got out to eat and drink and I would take her for a walk around the garden each evening and give her a good talking to!

She did lose condition and a lot of weight, she stopped laying. She stopped trying to get on the nest after about 4 weeks but it took 6/7 weeks in total for her to start laying again.

Oh good, there is light at the end of the tunnel then, thank you for your advice.
