Hi all, I went and picked up my girls today from Mini Meadows Farm in Welford.

 

I am so pleased and even had a little chuckle when Hilda (Coral) mangaed to wriggle out of the box and into the garden...luckily my Basset Hound wasn't out or we could have had real problems

 

I shut them in the house for a couple of hours as instructed and then opened the pop hole and waited...and waited.

 

Hilda and Dora (Pied Ranger) came out first and had a good look around and kept going back and forth as if to say to the other two 'its ok'

 

Nora (Speckledy) and Margaret (Columbine) have been out and theyve been quite happy, even the dog keeps going out to check on them.

 

 

 

These are the only pics Ive been able to get as they seem to be a camera shy!

Ok, first silly question...

 

Do i need to remove the food and water at night? Im just worried in case it rains.

If you think the food will get wet I would bring it in. Congratulations on your new arrivals!

... and takeing the food in at night also may reduce the risk of rat problems.

You're going to have loads of fun watching them. My Coral from Minimeadows is an escape artist as well and mad as a box of frogs even after a year.

I daren't let them out into the garden, as we found out they can fit through the fencing and might get into the field at the back

 

I'm going to go out and try to hold one in a bit as they seem a bit more settled, I'll try and get some pics
