Probably the best husband in the world !!

Recommended Posts

As some of you lovely Omleteers know I had Sharon the blind chicken.

Yesterday morning she went to play with all the other girlies in Heaven.

Trying to be sensible about this as she was really struggling so was propably for the best.

Last night OH brought me two White Crested Polands :clap:

Polly Pom Pom and Henny Penny.

Have now been told that 9 is enough :lol:

What a great Hubby.

Both of you really did do your best for Sharon and were very kind to the poor wee thing. While she lived she could not have wanted for more.

Now you have Polands you are like me with Frizzles, Silkies and Polands :D . . . but you have some big girl egg layers too so I'm still  as  . . . Don't forget that you still have to get a pair of wee call ducks

Do you know where he got Polly Pom Pom and Henny Penny from? I love my white Poland even if she is not often white and never has been really white compared to my white Silkie - more a cream colour. I never can make up my mind which I like best between Polands, Silkies and Frizzles - they are all such lovely breeds. Do you have any preferences?

I love the Polands most at the moment as they are the ones taking a bit of a bashing from the Newbies from last week :?:?

They seem to chatter to each other all the time and seem quite friendly.

The new big girls ( little really )are very timid but horrid to them but I think Daisy is still the bestest chicken ever, even with her attitude :lol:

Karl got them from a lady at works, daughterin laws, fathers, friend :shock:

In Suffolk some where.

Daisy is a one off. I missed her dreadfully at first but she couldn't have a better home and I'm so happy that she has feathered up now that she has escaped the attentions of my wicked cockerel :D

Aside from her, (all Frizzles are not quite like her), I like my Polands best too, I think. They are easy to pick up and so friendly and not just because they can't see. Perhaps it is because I help them along a bit but all three of mine know their individual names and come when called. Also all three will happily fly up onto my wrist or shoulder as if they were parrots which I love.

So sorry to hear about Sharon! :( You were a really lovely owner to her!

You are very lucky to have a hubby who knows what will make you smile! I think some photos of your new ladies need to be posted :)
