Luvachicken
Each time I use the stalosan, I spray the area with the hosepipe first and sprinkle the stalosan and leave it overnight. Then I let the girls out the next morning. The thing is, some of the stalosan is still on their patio area. Should I have swept it before letting them out ? My sister worried me slightly, when I said 2 of them had colds, and she said it could be because I left the powder there on the floor. Is she right ? Lavenders_Blue
Stalosan is safe to use with birds present so no need to sweep it up. I sprinkle fairly liberally all over my run and also in the coop this time of year when it's difficult to poultry shield the coop and dry it out. LottyJ1
Yep I sprinkle it in the coop and all over the floor in the WIR to freshen it up and kill nasties!
superkitty
I'm a liberal Stalosan-sprinkler too
The Dogmother
They'll be fine; most of the powdered livestock disinfectants are made to be used with the animals present.
Reikiranf
I wash the slabs down and let them dry as much as possible before I put the Stalosan down, then I put the hemcore down on top of it, to be honest the worst side effect I've noticed is my girlies having pink legs
chocolateeclaire
I just love stalosan and chuck it everywhere often over the rabbits who get in the way!! It is also good on the straw bales that I have for the rabbits and chickens to sit on and pink bales of straw are quite fetching!! coco
I'm an avid stalosan sprinkler too. I have to wait until the girls are in bed as if I do it when they are i the run they look terrified. I even use it in the rabbits litter tray.
Bramble
Sorry to crash the post, but just wondered how often I can/should use stalosan please?
The Dogmother
Either when you muck out or once a week.
