Laura007
All i wanted to do was drill a couple of holes, not to much to ask, but this is how it went. sunday evening "paul, i need to drill some holes tomorrow. where is your drill?" "errrrrrrr, my brother has got it" (tries to make a sharp exit) "well can you go and get it please?" "errrrrrrr, ok back in 20 mins" returns a short while later "will it need charging?" "dont think so" you can see were this is going can't you........... monday morning "*******$$$$$$$*********" it needs charging! now, i know what you are going to say, that i should have checked it myself, but i had been at work all day and i really couldnt be bothered. so really i only have myself to blame, but i only wanted to drill a couple of holes it not to much to ask. is it? Cate in NZ
Laura, you have my sympathy, I'm familiar with that scenario myself. No suggestions as to what the answer is, I'm afraid I end up going with the if you want to be sure it's done- do it yourself school of thought, but it's very irritating Good luck with your drilling- when the drill's recharged that is
Lesley
At least you know what to put on your Christmas list Laura! - a drill of your own. I have my own toolboxes and OH is only allowed to use the stuff if I'm around (I've trained him in DIY quite well now though)

The Dogmother
I don't understand. Why does a girl need to use a drill? Oooo, grd, that's a bit cose to the mark! I'lll have to put those Omlet boers in the post. I do all my own DIY (no-one else to do it) and really enjoy it. The only time that I get someone else in to do stuff is if it is gas, electric or plumbing. Other than that, I only need help if it is big and needs propping/holding. The Boy does offer to help, but is understanding that I prefer my independence, besides, he has his own house to renovate!
Guest
Oooo, grd, that's a bit cose to the mark! I'lll have to put those Omlet boers in the post. Oh our Clare - I was only joking! I must admit though, whenever my wife wants to use the drill I always make sure there' s flat a battery in it!
