good_egg
Love the turkey suggestion! You could call him/her cranberry sauce! Lol. In the interest of not guessing what's been guesses already I'm going to go with a boy bantam.

Chortle Chook
Oh lucky ex-bats . . . but don't foget those turkeys out there Actually I was originally going to guess a frizzled goose (Sebastapol) but only because that's what I want (along with a Muscovy duck) . . . and said turkey. Lavenders_Blue
Oh ex-batts, how wonderful! I love ex-batts, they really are the most special hens. I've had 8 so far and 5 'posh' girls (one of whom was a Chicken Of Fate). The ex-batts have been my favourites all round, and my next girls will definitely be more batties. They are so lucky to be having a lovely new home for Christmas
LottyJ1
That is so great - they will be very lucky ex batts. You will love them and find they have such fab characters. My Margo is still my fav she is so cute and happy despite the horrible start to life. They become very friendly too My posh birds i have to sometimes chase around the garden but Margo is just always at my feet looking up at me. Excited for you

I found one of my little Lavender Quail Barbu D'Anvers dead in the WIR earlier and I'm feeling very so reading such kind words is a real comfort.
