I got snowed in at my mums (well iced in couldnt get my car off the drive) but it meant I got to see more of Julian, dad let them out this morning but left it to me to feed them. I was greeted by a lovely cock a doodle do, and as mum cuddles him loads I think he knew he would be getting one from me, so I had no protest from him :-). I took him for a walk around the garden telling him how beautiful he was and he is my prince

dont know much about cockerels etc or but rekon he is a beauty not even sure if he is show quality ? (he is in my mind) Not even 100% sure what breed he is, he was sold to me as a gold laced wyndotte and as a girly, however I know that it has been said he probably is not a wyndotte will try and snap a better pic of him (there are two videos on here)

He is deffo not a wyandotte now hes bigger why dont you post some full body shots on could be a goldlaced orp but cant tell from the photo leanne :)

 

 

Thanks I think someone said they thought he was a goldlaced orp next time I get to my mums I shall get a better pic, not dissappointed over him not being a GL Wyandotte but miffed that the breeder was clearly a bit clueless however we have a beautiful boy which is something to be pleased about. Yes I agree he is big assuming he is fully grown ?? tail feathers just starting to show :-)

 

Ah there's just something special about a boy!!! I hope my new cockerel will be as lovely as my previous...who I adored.........(love at 1st sight with me!!! :oops::lol:)

Well if that saying is true my mothers 6 girlies are in for a shock :lol: I just wish I coud cuddle him all the time, shame he couldnt be a lap cockerel.

 

Also those big feet happened to have a dollop of poop on them left a lovely pooh mark on my coat thank goodness for baby wipes

Ooooooo :shock: hopefully that will settle down with time!!!??? As long as he shares his affections and doesn't favour any poor girl in particuliar :oops: !!!!! After all he is only doing what comes naturally!! :roll: It's a sure fire sign that spring must be on it's way!! :D Aren't you glad he's at your mums! :lol:

Little update

 

It would appear that mums 6 girls are hiding in the hedge whilst Julian patrols it, think he may be a very loving towards his girls BTW they are his girls but what is he to them other than a nusciance ? Do we need to perform some sort of chicken ceremony to make them all his wives :lol:
