Egluntyne
I have just been outside and have sprinkled salt on 46 slugs on the lawn. Most of them had little white patches on their rear ends. I've never noticed this before. Anyone any ideas?
Couperwife
eugh no, dont know what the white bit is, our girls eat slugs but I think that many would probably put them off a bit.
Egluntyne
They were whoppers, some black, some orange. Too big for my girls.

Lesley
I was doing a similar job at 8 o clock this morning - except I took the scissors to them I must have snipped at least

Lesley
When they've eaten all the veggie plants you've been nurturing, 'tis quite easy

mountainboarddude
i was outside putting the chickens away, when i saw snails and slugs everywhere, so i scooped them into a big pile and poured salt all over them, like a big slimy slug and snail stew

Egluntyne
There was a whopper outside the front door this evening.....I only just missed standing on it. They make my legs go to jelly. He has had the salt treatment.
