Clucking_Mad
I have recently lost 2 of my girls as you may have seen on previous posts. This has left Ethel on her own and lonely so at the weekend we got 2 new friends for her. We got a cream legbar cross which we have called Dorothy and a naked neck called Beryl. We do have the new girls separated from Ethel but she can see them through the fencing and they all sleep in the eglu at night which means very early mornings for me to let them out and separate them. Hope you like the pictures This our Bluebelle Ethel posing for the camera This is the new girls Dorothy & Beryl Beryl coming to see what i'm doing Dorothy enjoying the grass Beryl having a bath Dorothy having a nap after a bath I think Beryl wants a cuppa

Clucking_Mad
They're beautiful, what lovely pictures...My husband's two aunts are called Beryl and Dorothy Its a small world We named the cream legbar Dorothy so we could nickname her dotty as she has little black flecks that are dotted all over her. The naked neck was called Beryl as I thought she looked like she was wearing a beret so I thought beret Beryl.

Both lovely girls though! To be perfectly honest I don't know we were told she was a cream legbar cross but they didn't know what she was crossed with. But she is lovely and enjoys a cuddle & has been laying brown eggs

Xx Hi PoachedPlease I got both girls from a lovely place called Julia's Poultry Barn it's in Hagworthingham Lincolnshire. I had only ever seen naked necks in books or magazines and this was my first time seeing them in the flesh pun not intended and I feel in love with them. Julia breeds them herself and Beryls parents have even won shows. She has other breeds as well.
