Alis girls
The other thing I have noticed is that those returned eat a lot (remind me of my teenage son) except Victor who just smiles menacingly. I would like to get the book for my holiday. Did u notice no French ads last night, Have the Brits complained?
Daphne
I didn't notice any French ads, but I wouldn't really vouch for my powers of observation I didn't know it was a book...off to investigate
Alis girls
I might be wrong but thought I read about a book somewhere.
Janepie33
Victor died 35 years ago, shot inside a wardrobe by a masked man - we now know that the other masked man was probably Pierre. I think that the woman shot then probably wasn't Victor's mother as when she said goodnight it didn't seem a mother/son thing - she said "it will be OK or words to that effect. I think he was staying there for some reason. Must have missed that bit! When did they show that? Very odd about the scar on Lena's back. Dad almost explained what happened, but then didn't. I think there is a lot more to that story!

I think he was staying there for some reason. Must have missed that bit! When did they show that? It's all at the start of episode 4 before the opening credits. I have just watched it again. The first masked gunman says to Victor who is hiding in the wardrobe "sing a song in your head, something from school " to try to get him to keep quiet and he says he will come back for him. The second gunman then comes in and shoots victor through the door. Pierre says the same thing to victor about singing a song in his head when victor arrives at the helping hand place. I am convinced that Victor is the son of Mr & Mrs Costa although my theory about Julie being his sister may be a stretch too far
Alis girls
Sorry must have imagined the "book" - it is based on a film called "they came back" 2004. Wikip does the whole epeisode list but like many others on forum I have moments of confusion. Not sure if this down to it being in French, missing a vital subtitle, age, going blind/deaf or senile . Its very watchable but annoying at the same time. thank goodness Broadchurch was in English. I was confused at times in that and had to rewatch summat that a forum member remarked on which passed me by.
Willow
It is good but confusing I thought the dam was losing water but Sunday's episode it seemed like it was gaining water although come to think of it they were still talking about needing to find the crack. Have I just got really confused

Chortle Chook
I just adore this series. It has me gripped every bit as much as 'The Killing'. Trouble is, Simon is so gorgeous that a) I am in danger of being an older woman in love with a young man and b) I watch him and then forget the plot Aside from Simon, I just love, love, love that spooky music However Mr and Mrs C just passed me by - must have been watching Simon in those bits
Janepie33
Missed the first couple of minutes and now even more confused than ever! I wonder if the animals will come back to life too?!
Daphne
I watched the first few minutes and I'm more confused than ever I don't understand about the murdering brother. Is he one of the Returned? It all happened so fast, one minute he is disembowelling CatWoman, then he's killed by his brother the barman and in a grave, and the next he is looking after Lena? Have I got that right? Its beginning to spiral out of my control.......ahhhhhh..... Anybody got any idea how you tell if you're one of the Returned?

Its beginning to spiral out of my control.......ahhhhhh..... Anybody got any idea how you tell if you're one of the Returned? Yes, the murdering brother is one of the returned. The cat woman thing must have been a flashback and cat woman must be the nurse who was looking after Victor before the police took him away. In one episode it showed her tummy with scars all over it and the police woman alluded to the fact that other attacks were happening again. Not sure how murdering brother ended up looking after Lena. Think I missed a bit! I think you can find out if you are one of the returned, by trying to get yourself killed (again) - hence nurse contemplating jumping out of her window. Mrs Costa was in the house when Mr Costa set fire to it and the fire service found no body in the debris afterwards.

Cinnamon
Lots of nakedness tonight, & not all female which makes a nice change Each week I am totally overwhelmed by the beauty of the young girl who plays Camille. She is a astoundingly lovely.
Daphne
Agreed Cinnamon - she is amazing They are beginning to bring the threads together now aren't they, I think we just have 1 or 2 episodes left.
Alis girls
I am now shocked by the amount the "returned" eat and spend time undressed if you get the drift. And they remain so slim too. Camille is rarely out of the fridge Yes I was waiting for the corpse to climb out the fridge in the mortuary not the one Camille spends the time looking in . No further able to grasp the plot that before.
Cinnamon
Camille is rarely out of the fridge Its part of the make-up of those who have returned that they are permanently hungry,I think.
Alis girls
MMMmmm I think my 17 yr old son might be a returned - hes never out of the fridge either
Chortle Chook
MMMmmm I think my 17 yr old son might be a returned - hes never out of the fridge either That did make me laugh. I only watched the latest episode last night and kept thinking of your son. Actually think I might be a returned as till I read this thread I hadn't noticed that the returned were any more hungry / greedy than me. (As I watched it I was tucking into a large bowl of strawberries and ice cream. ) I just thought it was a French thing to be always eating nice looking food but staying stick thin. The nudity also seems a French thing rather than a 'returned' thing - never seen a French film without it. Still I had to laugh at the French medium and how she gets her inspiration. Just couldn't take that seriously
Janepie33
Strange how "Ooops, word censored!"ody can leave the village...........?!
Chickendoodle
I think they are all dead apart from the dam/electricity workers who have already left
Alis girls
I find Simon spooky - the pupils of his eyes looked red (might be my telly) and I expected Victor to disappear in the tunnel. horrible not being able to leave somewhere. The other woman I couldnt place was the one who "starved" to death she was a trouble maker, however she ate a hearty breakfast before upsetting Camille. I will miss the last episode so please update thread for me to see when I am away.
Daphne
Ali's Girls: That last bit presupposes we will all be any the wiser after the last episode I now think most of them are dead but not all of them. I think the woman having a miscarriage is going to attack Camille as she blames her and that will lead to some mega-event. I'm guessing the crowd in the wood are the dead from the drowned village. OH thinks the girl in the Lake Pub is going to lead the Returned to do something - not sure if good or bad, probably bad as "Ooops, word censored!"ody can leave, so perhaps all the live ones will be eaten by the Returned? I can't work out the significance of when your flesh starts decomposing (eg Simon and Camille last night) or recomposing (Lena and the woman who looks after Victor a few weeks ago). Roll on next week
