Leicester_H
On Wednesday, Boo seemed fine but was walking with a definite 'waddle' - having remembered this could be the symptom of very bad things, we took her to the vet. Vet was reassuring, saying she could feel some abdominal fluid but it was probably a low level infection and we'd hit it with drugs. We were very relieved as Boo is nearly 7 years old. Prescribed Baytril(antibiotic) and metacam (pain killer). Thursday, Boo was a lot livelier. Friday, very subdued, not moving much and more importantly would eat any treats (so couldn't give meds) - didn't want to try to syringe into beak as thought it might be too stressful for her (given age) and us ! So back to vet on Friday evening. Having caught her and put in cat box, she already seemed a bit brighter. On examination, vet said she felt much better than she had done on Wednesday (which was good news) - so she injected her with Baytril & metacam. By the time we got home, she was noticably better. She seems OK(ish) today - just hope she'll take her meds later on (so keep fingers crossed pleased as that seemed to work). Thanks, H
