What an incredible match . I almost couldn't bear that last game . I had a wee tear in my eye when he won though, so pleased for him .

Everyone in the town is sooooooo happy. I really dont remember a day like it. Impromptu party in the High St, everyone singing and dancing. People driving around the town tooting their horns. Have never really experienced such joy in the town before. Thank you Andy Wimbledon Men Singles Champion 2013

I'm at home with my Mum, she was 2 when Fred Perry won and she's played tennis and been a fan all her life. I wouldn't let her leave the room when she said she didn't think she could bear to watch the final game because I knew she'd regret it, and I think a few tears were shed!

 

Its a fantastic achievement - I loved the bit when Andy showed the Cup to the crowd at Wimbledon. Just marvellous all round

I nearly left the room too and I am very pleased that I stuck it out. I could actually see my heart beating and I was shaking.

 

I watched the documentary that was shown the weekend before it started, this afternoon, he seems such a nice guy with a great support network. I believe they are showing it again tonight with the winning bit at the end.
