Janepie33
As I have the summer holidays off, I thought I'd better get some jobs done around the house and today I decided to sort out our medicine cupboard. Threw out some out of date lotions, potions, pills and ointments, (including a peak flow monitor from when DS had asthma years ago) and some of them had use by dates as far back as 1995!! Tomorrow I will tackle a shelf in the kitchen which hasn't been touched for years. Wonder what I will find there.........!

charly1979
I recently lost my Uncle, to help mum out I started clearing the food away and emptying the freezer etc I bought back a load of jars, tins etc. One day I thought we would use the frozen chicken only mid defrost I noticed the sale by date 2002 needless to say we didn't have chicken that night, then a few weeks after my hubby was sorting his tea and we didn't have much in I brightly looked up and said about all the jars of chilli, curries etc but looking through them all only 1 was within date the rest again were years out, we are still debating the Fray Bento's pie that is a year out ! To make things worse I bought back and unopened box of Bodingtons (18) and the date is 2008 again no one is sure what to do drink or bin (it feels so wrong to bin it ) When my mum emptied another cupboard the dates on the tins were in the 90's and I think there was a tin with the Happy shopper brand again showing the age. I don't know how he so much esp as he hated waste ??
Lavenders_Blue
I reckon the tins of tuna and Fray Bentos pie will be okay if this story is anything to go by. LINKY
soapdragon
Charley, could you use the Boddingtons as a hair rinse? (Seriously, a beer rinse does make you hair lovely and soft!)
