daxigirl Posted August 28, 2013 Share Posted August 28, 2013 You'll all understand so I can tell you. My beloved Paxo went on a one way trip to the vets this morning, suspected peritonitis. She was the first chicken I ever picked and second in comand to my second choice Lisa-Marie. She was a forceful personality in the coop keeping everyone in line and beautiful to look at never a feather out of place, even won best Araucana last year at a local show. Her eggs were regular Best in Shows. She loved to anounce eggs to the world with energetic gusto, especially if they weren't her own. She hated being picked up or caught. It was so sweet this morning Lisa was just stood by her BFF till I picked her up and put her in the cat basket. I left it by the run so she could see everyone till it was time and the others all settled down along the fence facing her, it was wierd no-one made a sound at all, it was as if they all knew.
