I have read that pol ands can make strange noises. The tail feathers don't look like a cockerel, but she does shout. Guessing she's about 5 months now

Quite often the breeder will take them back. Might be worth asking. What kind is s/he?

i have a speckled sussex that i am starting to worry might be a he! i got 3 chooks at the end of august aged between 18 and 20 weeks. The goldline and RIR are now being dwafed by the speckeled sussex.

No crowing yet though!

i really must work out how to put photos on here.

My Sussex hybrid was a big girl, certainly bigger that the two omlet girls and Merrydale Sweetie.

sadly just watched 'her' mount the goldline. do hens normally do this?

Sometimes if only hens are kept, then one will try to show her dominance over the others by displaying male behaviours. If you were able to get a photo up we'd have a go at sexing it for you However, normally a LF RIR pullet would not be dwarfed by a LF sussex pullet of the same age

You are nearly there. After you've uploaded your picture click on it. You should be given options such as URL

You need to click on thumb nail.it may say copy all, select that first , then copy. Then post on the forum and click paste. Are you using Ipad or computer?

If you go on the second from top subject under the chickens heading, I have posted 2 comments on how to download using Ipad. It's basically the same with your computer but you use your right click on your mouse

Skittle was my favourite too. So pretty, the photo doesn't do the colouring any justice.

Breeder says to take him back and will exchange, but i don't think i want to introduce a new one to my other two. They are very happy together, seem even more so without Skittle in with them!

So will just be taking him back and sticking with two.
