JellyBean2605
Anyone else watching this? Anyone else totally hooked on it? What's gonna happen next?
Egluntyne
Absolutely brilliant. Why on earth have they buried it on BBC2? It is the best UK production I have seen in a long time. It is up there with the Scandinavian murder mysteries.
Plum
Agree but again I'm having trouble keeping up with the characters. We've just bought the series 1 DVD but shan't watch until after this one finishes. I don't see how it can end. Looks like Denton's coming to a bad end. Jennifer Jane
I love it and it is my favourite show at the moment. Part of me wishes I had recorded them all so I could watch them back to back, but the other part of me just can't wait to see what's going to happen!!! I enjoyed the first series too, but think this one is marginally better.
Egluntyne
First series? Dang!
The Dogmother
I want to know when Ken's coming back in Wallender, that was the only thing I turned on to watch.
Chucky Mama
Best thing on the TV in ages. I am sooo gripped and can't wait until next week. Hope it doesn't fall in a heap at the end
Chickendoodle
First series? Dang! You should try and watch it if you can as it explains the relationships between the various policemen/women Loving this series. It's all coming together now Very irritated by the BBC trailers though. Shortly before this latest episode they showed a trailer which is very obviously from either next week or the week after. Won't say what it showed but it had a massive spoiler. Why do they do that
JellyBean2605
It's the best thing I've seen from the BBC in a long time! Me and the OH are hooked and have no idea where it's going next, unusual for my OH as he works in television and can guess how most things will end. Chickendoodle
2 questions were going round in my head last night stopping me getting to sleep 1. Why did Denton investigate that particular missing girl out of all the missing persons she had, and why did she go to the garage thinking that there was something amiss there (she knew that the body would incriminate the chief inspector?) 2. If she was the one setting all this up how could she guarantee that she would get transferred to missing persons after the first incident And actually another thing just ocurred to me - when she was kidnapped by the policemen why did one of them ask her what she had told to the internal investigators, indicating that she knew what was going on? Very confused and looking forward to next week And is Hastings completely innocent in all this??????? The guardian blog, as always, is brilliant http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2014/mar/13/line-of-duty-recap-season-two-episode-five
Grandmashazzie
Had this taped on anytime just watched 5 and can't wait I do think she is a bit of a psychopath the bit about the cats seemed really odd.All I was thinking when she went home was where is the cat,I hope that girl detective hasn't put it to sleep. Then she said she had put it up for adoption after appearing besotted with it.Do you know it was filmed in Belfast? we got tickets to a first showing of episode 1 at BBC

Eggasperated
We've got the man from the pensions company coming . Think it might be a short discussion .
Plum
hope you're not retiring soon. Tonight we'll find out! What I want to know is why she didn't react when after the crash the two policemen showed her their identification when she already knew them? She wandered up to the car before they stuffed her in the boot
JellyBean2605
That confused me as well, if she is setting up Dryton with those guys then she seemed mighty surprised when they bundled her up into the boot and why did they need to identify themselves as police if they knew her? I can see three possible outcomes... 1. Dryton is setting her up as revenge, possibly when she got pregnant things got nasty and he wanted her gone (but surely there's easier ways that this elaborate set up 2. She's set it up to revenge on him for dumping her/forced abortion (but where does Akers and the witness come in to it if she'd never even met them?) 3. Drytons a bent copper who wanted rid of the witness and she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time (but I'm having difficulty seeing her as totally innocent) Either way, we'll know tonight

Egluntyne
I'll have to watch it again, I didn't fully understand what was going on tbh.
Eggasperated
Didn't think much of the ending at all ; seems DI Denton was guilty of some things but took the rap for a lot more, also it made her seem more gullible than the strong, manipulative character she had been portrayed as - too confusing by far . Definitely set up for another series as the main culprit in the police wasn't caught.
