The Dogmother
Having seen these in the health food shops, costing a small fortune, I thought I'd make some myself... Heat the oven (fan) to about 100deg. Cashews and almonds Dried, chopped dates Pinches of ginger, ground cinnamon and ground cloves. Blitz the nuts in a food processor until they are in small bits about a millimetre across, put in a large mixing bowl and stir in the spices. Blitz the dates in the food processor until they start to break up (they are fairly hard) then add a little boiling water so that they mix into a slightly lumpy and sticky paste. Add to the nuts in the bowl and mix together (I did this in my Kenwood Chef). roll the mixture into small balls about 1" in diameter and pop them all on a lined baking sheet. Baked gently in the oven for about 10 mins, or until they start to colour. They should cool and harden slightly, making them easier to handle, will last for ages in a Tupperware container, and make excellent healthy snacks. Rosie has scored them as 9/10 and blooming delicious.

Lavenders_Blue
Sounds delish I make a similar recipe for days out walking - from memory it's various blitzed up seeds bound with a mashed banana and ground flaxseeds, then baked in the oven. I call them Trill bars A good energy and protein boost!
