TAJ
I was at wonderwool wales a couple of weeks ago and did a dyeing with KoolAid course. Amazing safe and quick results. Just mix it up and presoaked wool, then fix by microwave for 4 mins. I am just knitting some handwarmers so will photo when done. TAJ
It is an American drink's powder for kids!! Hence as a food stuff, no chemicals involved in the dyeing process. Kool Aid - it is even shown online as people using it to dye their hair!! Tracy
Blackrocksrock
I sent some home to my daughter to dye black face wool skeins - she knits and sells her stuff and it comes out really good - she does it in her slow cooker. Koolaid is very cheap for that but must be the non sugar version!
Plum
Seems you can dye your dog as well
Egluntyne
Where do you buy Koolaid in the Uk?
Blackrocksrock
I think you can buy it at Amazon Or some of those american shops in the uk have it - make sure its not the sugar one though! Makes the wool all sticky!
Charlottechicken
Interesting! Found this company, not sure of the postage charge though http://www.americansoda.co.uk/
TAJ
Www.dtcrafts.co.uk have it and instructions. You can bathe a whole skein, paint it on, mix colours, use a squeeze bottle. Then 4 mins in microwave and a quick rinse and that is it! Tracy
Valkyrie
Have no idea where DD gets hers from but we have a load of the horrible stuff in the kitchen! Dread to think what her insides are like
bluekarin
Our local sweet shop, Candyland, sells it. I had never drunk the stuff until last summer when my brothers American now fiancé brought some over. Was very sweet but amazing colours. Have heard you can dye with it and want to try it out.
