Luvachicken
We were tidying up the shed and came across an old bottle of Bio Long Last. It is harmful to lots of pests but sadly also bad for bees and pondlife. The last time we found something 'bad' that said to dispose of safely we took it to the tip - only for them to say "just chuck it in there", so it wasn't disposed of safely at all. What can I do with it ? I obviously don't want to use it for killing things and not sure I can sensibly rely on the people at the tip. Eggasperated
I would ring the council and ask their policy on disposing of pesticides, it's possible only certain tips have these facilities, but certainly very remiss of your tip to chuck it in with other landfill. I did a compulsory module in Pesticides when I studied Horticulture and it made me even less likely to use them.

Bramble
I'm sure the Council will be able to help - local tips usually have a facility for secure disposal of "stuff" like this - good luck!
Luvachicken
Thank you all. The local tip is where we took some 'bad' stuff before so don't hold out much hope for them. Also, I clicked Egluntyne's link and it listed the exact same tip. I might take it to the local garden centre and see if they can dispose of it for me.
