Ideas for games for a work weekend away

Recommended Posts

I'm off on a CPD weekend with work on Friday :D . Went last year and it was great fun - one game we played was each writing an interesting/shocking/unlikely fact about ourselves, then each having to guess which went with which person. There were certainly some surprises  .

Does anyone know of any other games we could play (we would probably only have paper/pens)?

I recall doing this some years ago and the 'game' I thought was most interesting was to write down three facts about yourself - two true and one false - and get everyone to guess the false one. I learned A LOT about some of my colleagues

I was about to suggest the same game!! Was enlightening on some events I was at! :D

For example, I got to learn that one colleague had played cello with Julian Lloyd Webber at the Royal Albert hall.... I didn't even know she played the cello!!!!

Another is to have a piece of A4 paper for each person... You write something that you value about that person, then fold it over.... When it gets back to the "owner" they can see what their colleagues value about them :D

I'll suggest that game - sounds good, thanks :D .

We'll be passing close to you on our way there, Alli, we'll pick you up about 3pm on Friday  ?

The only flies in the ointment are that the (relatively) new head teacher is going, along with the teacher I work with who, despite being perfectly nice and good fun socially, is a total control freak and I can't wait to get out of her class and move somewhere else next term!

Hoping copious amounts of alcohol will help  .

Probably best if we don't, to be honest  .

Thankfully, I've just had my annual Professional Development Review so they'll probably have forgotten anything incriminating by next year  .

Would you be able to guess the false one?

I was born with 6 toes on one foot

At the age of 18, I was the pastry chef in the Carlton Hotel

I have flown a Cessna light aircraft

That game is brilliant if you have done at least 2 amazing things. I'm afraid mine wouldn't be quite so interesting - I would have to involve family facts

1. My great grandmother was bitten by Shep, John Noakes dog

2.

Actually that's it. That is the only interesting fact about my entire family  . John Noakes bought my g/grandmother's house and when he came to view it, Shep bit her

How about these?

My grandfather was Head Chauffer to HM Queen Elizabeth

I once fell over Alan Titchmarsh

I can sing the French National Anthem backwards

Mind you I am now in awe of Chickendoodle - John and Shep WERE my childhood...tho I didn't have Shep down as violent

We had a fantastic time - the weather was fabulous and we all got sunburnt :D . We played a simple version of the game - just one fact which we then all had to guess who had written it. Very funny and quite an eyeopener. Who knew one of my colleagues always wanted to be a nun and another had slapped Darren Day on the behind then ran away (a bloke too  ).

We went kayaking & canoeing on Loch Eck and most of us capsized - it was great fun 8) .
