Solitary chicken - need advice

Hi, as a newcomer to this forum I hope it's OK to share this here.

 

We were very excited to get our first rescue hens last year and just for fun my husband made a video with an original song showing our preparations and the building of our chicken run (complete with Eglu, of course!)

WOW! My husband happened to be in the room when I clicked on the link to play your video and he was stood transfixed as it started to play. The quality of the finishing of the wood and the way the wire is fixed is superb - what a lot of skill and care he put into every element. the 'old guy in the garage' did very well! It looks fantastic and I hope you, your hubby and your girls all enjoy their lovely home. Thanks for sharing .....

I love that, brilliant run and catchy song I might even be singing it all afternoon particularly apt as my OH is making me a new run now although he's not doing it in the kitchen and has to do it outside even though its raining! Its much warmer now though than it looked during your construction with the snow.

Wow, that is a beautiful run! Such attention to detail and lovely touches, like the coop cup holders . What a clever chap your OH is . Those are some very lucky hens .

I kept the sound down as OH sleeping, but the run looks wonderful!

 

OH building ours at the moment. Different but still a brilliant job. Will show my OH tomorrow and listen to the song

It was a labour of love, preparing for our first ever rescue hens was very exciting, we were both like kids at Christmas. I can't imagine life without chickens now, they are such characters and such fun to have in the garden
