Egluntyne
Am glad you had a good time Emma! Absence makes the heart grow fonder etc! The shooting was reported on the news last night. How terrible. I thought bikers were supposed to be big softies under all the leathers, not murderers.
Snowy
Glad you had a good time Emma - it is nice to rediscover yourself apart from the children sometimes isn't it? I saw the holdups but didn't pay any attention, just assumed it was another pile up or something. A murder though! Glad you escaped the worst of the holdups. Booming music, dancing on your chairs etc etc. What little pressie did you get on your chair on the night of the Gala dinner? Last year we got a glass votive holder engraved with partylite & some chocolate eclair sweeties. Did they send you home with loads? Any idea who it was who won the ford focus? Sorry to be mega nosey. just wondered & I'm a bit over excited today for some ' orange' reason. Oooo yes & where is trip to next year?? Hope you got loads of freebies & useful ideas. Couperwife
sounds like you had a good time at the conference. glad you got home safely though, the news about the M40 was a bit scary. its been on Skynews all morning
The Dogmother
That hold-up is right on our doorstep and it's still causing problems. teh M40 is closed northbound between junctions 10 and 14, which is a whole massive chunk. All the traffic seems to be coming through Banbury! Glad you're ok though.
craftyhunnypie
Ooo yes I remember the crystal xmas tree! I like some of the xmas smells too! I'm sure there will be lots I'll want!! Marrakesh eh? Sounds good, I bet they're going there because when they went Dubai, everyone loved it & when they went Cyprus, I think loads were dissapointed - even tho it was free. I think they got treated like queens & kings in Dubai tho. I like all the Autumn stuff rather than the Xmas stuff, as, it gets put in a cupboard & it's such a shame as the stuff is so nice & unusual. Hmm quite fancy a candle lantern for winter. What am I like talking of Winter in August!!!! Emma.x
Lesley
The shooting was near the junction nearest to us and it has been chaos around here. I nearly directed Emma(the Herd) and her OH that way when they visited yesterday - I'm glad I didn't . I saw it on Sky News just after they left. There are usually very few problems associated with the Bulldog Bash and the bikers mostly police the event themselves - that doesn't stop problems between rival gangs though. I'm glad you weren't caught up in it Emma - with an RTA which closes the motorway, the traffic is turned round off the motorway. This was a crime scene and everyone had to stay put for hours. theherd123
We got home in record time Lesley unlike our journey to your place! OH put me off and my inbuilt sat nav went off course! I was shocked to hear it was a shooting - not the sort of thing you expect at all
foreveryoung
it took us over an hour to get of at the junction b4 hand (comming back from bermingham) then you had eejits driving down the hard sholder!! im sorry but if ive gotta sit there for over an hour so can they, so i called the old bill! its dangerouse for one!!! then we got lost! then my tom tom decided to take us the long way home (that nearly didnt even get home, it nearly ened out the dam window!)
