Ain't Nobody Here
I know it's an odd time of year to be thinking of greenhouses but if I get it now I could overwinter some of my pot plants in it. I'm only thinking of using it for tomatoes and cucumbers as it can't be very big. I've got a very small garden with very limited space for a greenhouse. It would have to go on the wall under the kitchen window so can only be 137cm / 4' 5" high and probably 3ft max width. Anybody got something similar and could recommend a brand? Pictures online don't really give you a feel for the quality.
Space Chick
I'd get something proper and sturdy. All the plastic type ones are a waste if money in my opinion, and we've had a couple over the years. Especially if you live somewhere windy. So go for an aluminium frame with proper glass if you can. Can't recommend one though, as we have a big proper greenhouse now.
Ain't Nobody Here
Agreed, I've tried so many plastic ones over the years . I've found this one, which is quite expensive, but I think buying cheap would be a false economy. Annoyingly, it's 2 cm too high to fit under the windowsill but I know a friendly joiner who could probably do something clever with batons! Valkyrie
I have a big Alton cedar greenhouse - we used to have aluminium and I don't know if I'm imagining it, but it does seem warmer with wood. Either way you will probably need some fleece or bubble wrap to protect the plants in winter.
Ain't Nobody Here
Good tip! I have loads of bubblewrap left over from my Ebay selling days so it will be put to good use .
Valkyrie
there as I always say it doesn't hurt to hoard in case it comes in handy. Well sometimes it does.
