Chickabee
I have loads of chick crumb left after my hatching this year. My 2 chicks are just about to be going on growers. I've been giving my layers some chick crumb with a little limestone flour in it, as some have finished heavy moults and the exbats shells are getting very thin. However I think it has made their poo very smelly and sometimes runny. They have recently been wormed and all look very fit and well. Do you think it is the crumb that's causing this? Is it bad for them? They're still mainly eating layers pellets and a small amount of veggies and pears.
Beantree
It may be the ACS additive that is upsetting them Chickabee. We gave some feed to our hens with ACS in by accident and they developed smelly runny poo. It took about a week to return to normal once we had stopped feeding it to them. I'd play safe and just throw the leftover crumb away.
sjp
if there's not much left mix it in with the growers for a few days
