Luvachicken
I mixed them up some strawberries, apple, mint and some water and froze the pops overnight. The girls certainly enjoyed them. They had one about 11.30 and one about 3.30. It was a good way to make sure they got some extra fluids. In fact I gave it a little taste before I gave it to them and it was surprisingly tasty Anyone else made anything to help them in this heat ? loumabel
What a good idea! love your girls too. I gave mine a piece of chilled watermelon today, the ungrateful beasts refused to even look at it

Chickabee
Mine got half a cold swede and some leftover leaves and raw peppers. Also half a cold jacket potato. I'm not very inventive

Cat tails
Froze a few strawberries in water as well and will give one in a minute and try to pop in in the afternoon again. I'm incredibly busy at work this week... We have the German exchange students over for a week and I haven't been home be fore 11 pm most days. Will wave them of tomorrow morning again. Bramble
You've got very pretty chucks!!! I did a sort of pellet/mealworm/sweetcorn iceberg for my lot yesterday - seemed to disappear without too much trouble!!
Luvachicken
Thanks everyone for the admiring messages. I do love my girls very much and only just recently realised that I actually have matching pairs of girls - 2 lemon, 2 lavender and 2 browny, speckly ones. Gave them another lolly this afternoon. I think they actually like the melted juice more than the lolly. Hubby got me some cheap plastic cups to use so I can make more than 2 in one go
