Ebay private sellers beware of auto relist fees coming soon!

Recommended Posts

For those of you who don't like paying to list items on ebay:

I have just read that new changes afoot mean if you are selling items with an automatic relist and they don't sell first time around, the relist will count as one of your 20 free listings. If you have used your monthly free listing allocation when the item relists, you will be charged the standard listing fee.

Consensus of opinion appears to be to not use the automatic relist function from now on!

Changes due to take place from 17th August.

Since the vast hike in postage costs and greedy E bay deciding to charge fees on said postage I now sell virtually everything I need to get rid of on the local Gumtree. The advantage is its FREE and people come and pick things up!!!

Sadly, for me, E bay has had its day, got too greedy :x I still buy the odd thing or two but not nearly so much as I did a few years ago. This is because I have received several items recently that were really not 'up to standard'; nothing awful or actually worth the time and effort of complaining about but things like REEKING of cigarette smoke whilst claiming to come from a smoke free home (the seller blamed this on her fathers funeral wake when I queried it :o ) and the quality of things on sale has definately gone downhill.
