Justadmin
Hi all, hope you're having a good weekend. Just wanted to run something past you. My OH went into the run to clean out their drinker (they'd kicked wood chips into it) and I was in the kitchen. The next thing I hear is him shouting my name, I rush out to see him standing but bent over in the run with Billina standing proudly on his back. Apparently as he leant down to clean the drinker she pecked his finger, then his arm, then flew up onto his back and started pecking his hands (which he was now using to protect his head lol) OH is now a bit miffed and has taken it a bit personally. She's never pecked fingers before and we don't hand feed so she shouldn't think that fingers have food in them. Does this sound like aggressive pecking to you or inquisitive pecking. He said it was painful. Anything we can do to combat it? Thanks
Blackrocksrock
That where the saying Hen pecked came from I wonder. Think its not a nastiness really.
mollyripkim
I wouldn't worry, I have several that jump on me and will peck, especially moles, spots, earrings, red nail varnish etc.
Luvachicken
My Polly especially likes fingers. I use a washing powder scoop to fill up their food and although it had food in it Polly was desperate to get at my fingers she could see through the other side - bad girl
Justadmin
Thanks everyone. I don't think it was nasty either, and she hasn't done it again since! I think she just thought he had food
