My chickens have had over 100,000 visitors!

Recommended Posts

I woke up this morning to see that my Allotment Lady website has had over 100,047 visitors - over 50 overnight - so I missed the 100,000 th visitor - I was going to send a little surprise to them

I am lost for words (almost) that what started out as my own little daily ramblings of what I had been up to - for my son who was working abroad - has attracted so many peoples curiosity.

My 'chicken chat' conversations (which I thought were totally daft) seems to have got lots more people addicted to their antics.

For those of you on here who have taken the time and trouble to visit and leave comments - I thank you one and all and really appreciate each and every one of you.

Click on my www link below to see what they have been chatting about today.

I'll be working on a recipe today which I will post for tomorrow (useful for those of you making up things for Christmas hampers - or just for your store cupboards ) and might even bake a cake to celebrate!

Me too! I discovered you nearly a year ago now and it was your blog that partly contributed to my desire for chickens! (and a veg garden). (and an allotment  )

You've got a lot to answer for!! :D

Keep up the good work, and thank you for all the time and effort you must put into it! xx

Thank you all very much - how nice of you to say so. I have to confess that I am responsible for a large number of people starting their own blogs - both in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada, Japan, to name a few countries. I have also steered quite a lot of people in the UK to buy Eglus and chickens (unofficially so don't think I have made a fortune in commission :roll:), and it has been great to do so.

I know of at least 6 people who have got allotments and more that are on the waiting list. And lots of visitors have tried out my recipes for cakes, soaps, crafts, and body creams, etc.

Scarey really - - it's turned a 'laugh' into a big responsibility :)

Just off up to my plot - working on my six pack

Oh dear - I have a lot to answer for don't I.

I was contacted by a television company as year ago who wanted to film me on my allotment - and to show any ideas I had - they were interested in ladies with allotments - but I declined - it was winter time and totally the wrong time to film - plus the allotments either side of me were really scruffy so that would have been embarassing.

Up a mud track to get to the field too - so not typical town allotments!
