craftyhunnypie
Last night, I came in from visiting my parents and my whole back garden was floodlit and my hubby looked rather sheepish. I looked & saw that he had cleaned out the eglu run and it had all nice new fresh easy bed in. But........ later I questioned him on his technique, for getting it so neat & a good job done. This was how he had done it!!!!! Propped up with 2 gas bottles & my little newbie chooks, were fast asleep in the eglu on a bit of a steep angle! He says they didn't make a sound, well no wonder....they probably thought it was the biggest fox in the world! Emma.x

Cinnamon
Don't you think mens work on a whole different level to womens? They are just so literal - The Hubby would have done just that too

Popcorn
I must admit, I'd have crawled in, or got him to move it to one side completely. I will remember that technique when it comes to a woodchip change!
Jules.
Men just do not multi task, the concept is completely alien to them
The Dogmother
I'd try that next time, but my run is too long with the extension on it; I just detach it from the eglu and pull it out of the way. Don't forget that if you have the plastic screws joining the run to the eglu, any extra load or stress on them will cause them to shear off in their housing on the eglu. Some of mine did this - I had to drill them out and replace with the metal ones from Omlet.
ubereglu
That's so funny, when we had our old wooden coop out and had to move it around when the chickens had gone in they got lifted around inside the coop!!! It must have been a bit wobbly!
