Guest
I can only echo what others have said - i love a real Christmas tree, and we bought a pot-grown tree about 5 years ago, which flourished and was brought back in for the last 5 years. Sadly, we decided it was too heavy to bring with us when we moved, so we left it to a neighbour, and we'll buy a new one this year.

Cinnamon
I love real christmas trees - the look and the smell, but I'm allegic to the needles and come up in big red itchy lumps This happens to my OH but we still have a real one! He just wears gloves when he helps to decorate it They bring me out in itchy bumps too, as do courgette plants I just pinch one of the daughters anti histamines & it soon goes again. chickencam
I can't touch courgettes and other squash plants without long sleeves and gloves, so I'm not the only one
redfrock
i love christmas, hubbie hates it which puts a bit of a damper on things sometimes. one year he tried to ban us having a tree but i went out and got one anyway. i dont think he had good experiences of christmas when he was a child Snap. Andy is a right bah humbug @ Christmas ... he blames it on the same reason. My argument is that it is something we are sharing together and so he should now be enjoying the time. I have threatened to leave him to it and go and stay with my best friend instead! We would have an absolute hoot I love real christmas trees - the look and the smell, but I'm allegic to the needles and come up in big red itchy lumps This happens to my OH but we still have a real one! He just wears gloves when he helps to decorate it Ah good plan. Maybe if I walk round in festive wellie boots and thick snow gloves as well for the whole of the season I can avoid getting pricked by the fallen needles as well (and for the 9 months after that you keep finding the needles)! Now that's got me thinking .....
chickencam
We also put out Christmas tree in the playpen when the children were very small. We had a nice wooden playpen made by my dad so it didn't look too odd, just a bit like Trafalga square
